How to use and care for your apron
All our products are made from first-class leather that we carefully select. Over time the natural material develops a look of its own while keeping its durability, function and distinctive style. Mergel knife rolls are easy to look after and clean. If marks appear, wipe them gently with a damp cloth. Don’t use harsh household chemicals, and don’t put the roll in the washing machine. Keep it out of direct sunlight and damp rooms. To bring back the shine and suppleness of the leather, use a leather product such as wax or cream.

Behind the understated, elegant design of our knife rolls are hundreds of working hours from everyone in our family-run tannery. We thought carefully about every detail and every seam so the end result would be truly worthy. As with every Mergel accessory, it all starts with the careful choice of leather. You can choose from several leather colours and textures on the website to find the one that suits you. Although the material is very strong and tough, we have reinforced the rolls with aramid fabric for extra protection and a longer life.
